Ice Storm, 12-11 : We got a lot of freezing rain overnight from the 10th to the 11th of December... the following day was completely surreal! Hundreds of thousands of people lost power in several states (some for as many as nine days!)... We were fortunate to get off with only six hours worth of power outage. Fortunately, there was no wind to speak of, so the trees did not break as much as they could have. Nonetheless, the utter stillness of a calm day without electricity and nearly nobody on the roads was very surreal. These are a few of the pictures I took that day...
